I have and ASUS UX391UA laptop and it use your fingerprint sensor, i installed Linux Mint 19.1 on it but unfortunately i don't have driver of it for Linux, it would be pleasure you help me in this regard.

Every new Lenovo Thinkpad 5 15 ARE05 has the Goodix Fingerprint-Reader. I bought one Lenovo Thinkpad 5 15 ARE05 with Ryzen 4700u, 16gb of ram and the ID:27c6:55a2 Shenzen Goodix Technology Co. LTD Goodix FingerPrint Device.
So Ubuntu (last LTS) and Debian don't work with the fingerprinter. Please update us with a linux driver for that!

I have the same problem too with my Lenovo Thinkbook 14s IWL. My code driver is ID 27c6:55a4 Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co.,Ltd. Goodix FingerPrint Device.
I hope that Goodix manages to fix this problem for linux users.
