Dear Goodix Team,

I would like to request you to develop and publish a linux driver for the Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co.,Ltd. Goodix FingerPrint Device (device id 27c6:55a4).

You have already proven that you are able to develop these drivers in 2019, when you developed a libfprint-driver for a small variety of devices. Seeing as fingerprint readers on notebooks are a key criteria for many people with you being a big developer for many of these fingerprint readers, it is extremely sad to see many of your devices being supported exclusively on Windows.

Many people will, at one point, install a linux based operating system on their laptop, effectively locking them out of your hardware. Hence I, and many other people, would love to see you publish any already drivers, start development or publish any specifications for the 27c6:55a4 reader and devices with a similar architecture.

As @Goodix Admin has already said on a few different posts, i did try contacting sales@goodix.com, but have not yet received a reply.
